ABOUT ME
I began working in the mental health field in 2009 with a clear goal: improving access to care and treatments that are designed to work.
While some people come to therapy to deepen self-understanding or clarify their direction, others are managing mental health concerns that significantly affect their wellbeing and daily functioning. For individuals in this position, I focus on delivering the active, evidence-based components of therapy that are most strongly associated with a meaningful recovery.
Before entering private practice, I worked in community and hospital-based mental health settings for over a decade. This experience gave me a strong foundation in working with complex clinical presentations, while also helping me develop a comfort in being present with people exactly where they are. I was fortunate to learn from both the individuals I supported and the colleagues who shaped my growth as a therapist.
In addition to my clinical work, I have trained and supervised social work students and therapists in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for eating disorders, contributed to research in this area, and provide lectures and learning opportunities when possible. I also collaborate regularly with other clinicians to stay current with evolving research and best practices.
I believe that the more deeply a therapist understands a specific approach, the more effectively it can be adapted to meet each person’s needs. My practice is therefore focused on specialized Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, including CBT for eating disorders and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD.
I am happy to call London, Ontario my home. In my spare time, I enjoy live music, comedy, and gardening.
I’d love to help you find your new path. See how we can work together to discover your next steps forward.
